On Sunday November 21, 2013, an eleven-member team of doctors and nurses from Italy crossed into Gaza to start a mission in pediatric cardiac surgery at the European Hospital in Khan Younis. Led by Dr. Giancarlo Crupi, the team of doctors and nurses included: Bianca Innocenzo, Luisi, Vincenzo Stefano, Dario Salvo, Cortinovis Fabiola, Crisci Silvana, Grazioli Lorenzo, Gregis Agata, Gustinetti Marta, Macchitelli Viviana and Roncali Alessia. After the team set up in the European Gaza Hospital, they operated on 6 children.
